National Landing is establishing itself as an international center for innovation and technology. Amazon’s commitment to build its second headquarters campus in the district serves as both a validation and the impetus for National Landing’s continued growth as an incubator for creative, 21st-century businesses.

Amazon has already begun recruiting its National Landing team from among the capital region’s highly educated, tech-focused workforce, who are now located in a number of existing spaces as construction progresses on its new headquarter buildings.

The first phase of Amazon’s development, located at the intersection of 15th and Eads Streets, will feature two sustainably designed office towers with dynamic neighborhood retail at street level. In keeping with its commitment to the entire National Landing community, Amazon is incorporating acres of landscaped public park space, over a half mile of protected bike lanes and other community amenities into the project, which is slated to open in 2023.
